Kids Club Symonston Early Learning Centre, “the NASA of child-care centres” is a long day care and trusted early learning centre with a well established education programme based on the child’s own personality and strengths.  The highly qualified team of handpicked educators create a safe and stimulating environment for children to be cared for and to grow.  Kids Club Symonston is open to parents of Geoscience Australia and is also available to the public. 

Services 

Kid’s Club Symonston meets each child’s educational needs through play-based learning.  The centre incorporates high level resources, a well-researched curriculum, and a superbly designed physical environment to provide opportunities for all children to expand their minds and bodies.  The curriculum includes guided fitness sessions, music and language classes and a continual engagement with the local community.  All requirements for the day are also provided by the centre. 

Grounds

Creative and imaginative structures are a feature of Kids Club Symonston Early Learning Centre, with outdoor play areas are a seamless extension of the indoor learning environments.  Child led activities promote independent exploration and competence, development of gross motor skills, social skills and imaginative play.  Sand and water are widely utilized to expand children’s notions of maths and science concepts as well as free play. 

Nutrition Policy

All meals are freshly prepared at Kids Club Symonston and follow a 4-week rotation, with menus displayed daily.  Qualified chefs create tasty meals that meet the daily nutritional requirements of all attending children.  Individual tastes are taken into account and children are also offered new tastes to create a healthy relationship with food. 

Communication 

In depth communication between parents and staff at Kids Club Symonston is encouraged over a range of platforms.  Team members and parents talk daily, and daily learning stories for each room are available either on email or notice board.  A weekly newsletter includes photos of the children’s special moments and keeps parents up to date.  Parents can also use a mobile app to access their child’s developmental portfolio and for babies and toddlers, use a message book to keep links between home and centre.
