Named to connect with Matariki, Seven Stars Kindergarten acknowledges new beginnings and nurturing and growing children - just as Matariki signals the beginning of a new season and the time to harvest.  And our time is now!

The establishment of Seven Stars Kindergarten is underpinned by our strong belief in Froebelian principles and practice. 

We have been handed down wisdom and knowledge to guide our practice and reflect on treasures from the past to support our aspirations for today and the future.

Welcome to Farm Friends, 

We are open from 8:00 - 5:30 Monday - Thursday and 8:00 - 5:00 on Fridays.
 

Farm Friends has been providing authentic real-life experiences for up to 36 children per day, between the ages of two - five since 1997. In all weather, children explore our 10-acre section that is blessed with a wide variety of natural playscapes. Including our forest, creeks, farm and many more beautiful opportunities to develop a strong and secure relationship with papatūānuku (earth mother).

Farm Friends is a place where children are entitled to autonomy, leading their curriculum with the support of their kaiako (teachers) as they embark on authentic experiences that support their natural urges, discovering through play who they are and finding their place in the world around them.
