The Emmanuel Anglican College Early Learning Centre offers a safe and nurturing environment for your child to begin the journey of transitioning to school life. Our dedicated and highly qualified staff will assist your child as they enter the next phase of their life. If this is your first child it is also the beginning of a new phase in your life and our team will support and advise you to ensure your child makes a smooth and happy transition.

The Centre caters for children aged between 3 and 5 years, but children must be turning 4 in the year commencing enrolment. The children participate in individual and group experiences planned for them by the Early Learning Centre Staff who use their observations, goals and knowledge of childhood educational practices and theories to guide their programming.

The children’s interests guide our programming, which endeavours to encourage spiritual, physical, cognitive, social, emotional and language growth through the provision of experiences that are challenging and interesting for the children. The play based learning experiences also aim to provide opportunities for the students to build friendships and attain an array of useful life skills.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre East Ballina is a 90-place centre, purpose built and located to make the most of both convenience and the wonderful Ballina family lifestyle. We are tucked into one of the East Ballina shopping centres, are close to the beach and the daily drop-off and pick-up is so much simpler given our access to main roads and proximity to so many of our community's amenities.

The experienced and dedicated team of carers and educators work hard to ensure your children are given the very best in early learning ' and our programs are all designed to have children ready to take the next step into 'big school'. Our curriculum, which is built around a strong school-readiness program - is developed in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and we are guiding the children to become lifelong learners.

We have five rooms: two Nursery rooms, one Toddlers room and two Preschool rooms; catering for children from six weeks through to kindergarten / preschool age. All of the rooms are carefully planned out and appointed to ensure children have a stimulating and fun experience each and every day. So too, our outdoor areas. We have large and interesting play areas for the children to explore, as well as special garden areas (with a lovely vege patch!) which we build into the daily activities. Our centre is also equipped with a kitchen so we can satisfy hungry tummies after lots of busy activities and play.

The staff here are highly qualified, with qualifications ranging from Certificate III to Bachelors Degrees. We have three university trained Early Childhood Teachers and all are frequently updating and refreshing their skills to ensure your children are in the best care. Our team has a wealth of experience and as such we are able to provide a continuity of care ' not just for individual children, but for families of children who come through the centre.

Our relationship with families ' and open clear communication ' is of highest priority. Working together to set goals, celebrate milestones and ensure children have the best possible start is vitally important.

An ongoing cycle of critically analysing, planning, documenting and evaluating individual and group learning, underpins the educational play program. Through goal driven learning opportunities, each Educator caters for individual learning, gathered through the interests of the children.  Learning experiences are also spontaneous throughout the day, allowing for key moments of inspiration and learning to be explored through meaningful experiences.

BALLINA RIVER STREET CHILDREN’S CENTRE offers the community of Ballina a Preschool and Occasional Child Care service.

The Parent Management Committee employ early childhood educators who plan programs with the belief that children in their early childhood years learn best when they are actively engaged with others, with the physical world and with materials provided.

The early childhood educators at BRSCC develop relationships with children that are respectful and responsive to each child’s strengths interests, capabilities and backyards, and that each child to develop to their full potential.

These relationships provide solid foundation from which to guide and support children as they develop the self-confidence and skills to manage their own behaviour, make decisions and relate positively and effectively with others.

Educators in both the Preschool and the Occasional Child Care services will provide a learning environment that takes into account all children’s social, cultural and linguistic diversity (including learning styles, abilities ,disabilities, gender, family circumstances). Rainbow Children’s Centre is a community based non-profit organisation providing high quality flexible children’s services to the Ballina community at an affordable price. It provides a range of children’s services to families within Ballina Shire, and is supported by a committee of parents who utilise our services. All families using any of our services are welcome to become involved with the management of the Association.

Rainbow was established in 1986 on land provided by Ballina Shire Council and our main building was purpose built by the NSW Government as a child care facility. Our main premises is situated at 4 John Sharpe St East Ballina where the long day care service operate – while the out of School hours care services operate from four of the local primary schools.

As a community managed organisation, our Management Committee is comprised of community members, most of who are parents using our services. As a result the decisions made about our operations – our policies, our Mission, our annual objectives, our services and service levels, our fees, our staffing etc – are made by parents who use those same services. Hence we consider that we are very responsive to family needs and wishes and very flexible in meeting families’ best interests.
