Our services can be used in many ways by all families with primary-school-aged children. Some of our families are regulars, and utilise our services every day because of work commitments. Other families might need to use our service ‘once in a while’, such as when there’s an appointment they just can’t fit in during school time or in emergency situations.

The College club, here on the grounds of the Community College offers a new, fun, exciting and safe environment for your child or children to explore and enjoy while not feeling stuck at school.

Before School Care operates from 6:30am to 9.00am during school terms. Tomaree Community College can provide children with breakfast, quiet activities and then safely escort them to school either by our own bus, school buses or by foot (depending on weather and location of school).

After School care operates from the time the children finish school till 6.00pm. Children will be collected from school by our educators and then safely transported to the centre in our own bus or by foot (depending on weather and location of school). There is a bus stop directly out the front of the College where children will also be collected by our educators if catching their school bus directly to the College Club.

Fair Play OOSH Tanilba Bay services children from Tanilba Bay Public School for Before and After school care. During Vacation Care we welcome children from all of the Port Stephens area.

Salamander Bay Child Care Centre Inc

At KU Peninsula, we offer a welcoming and nurturing environment where children feel secure, empowered and energised to learn. Our open environment and access to provisions actively encourages all areas of children’s development.

We recognise that each child is unique, and grows and develops at their own pace and in their own style. Our program is structured to support children to learn within their own timeframe and within different contexts, supporting the individuality of each child.

We view play as an important tool in the development of children’s skills and learning and we provide a wide variety of experiences to support this. Through play, children learn how to be a valuable part of the community, accept others for who they are and develop respect for provisions, peers and the environment.

At KU Peninsula, we are proud of our reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

Our program offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

KU Children's Services

Karingal Preschool is a non-profit organisation catering for the educational needs and care of children aged 3 to under 6 years of age.

The Preschool provides full day Early Childhood Education and Care from Monday to Friday from 8.15am to 3.45pm. Each child can attend Karingal Preschool for a maximum of 3 days per week.

The Preschool is closed during published public and school holidays.

Karingal Pre-School Nelson Bay Inc

Located just outside of Anna Bay and surrounded by the tranquillity of the Australian countryside, we are nestled in a quiet residential neighbourhood, near businesses and schools.

Children at this daycare centre have access to a Key Educator, who will keep them engaged and develop safe, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with them. 

Grounds
We care for kids from six weeks to school age. Following the Early Years Learning Framework, we make an effort to look after the fundamental building blocks of their early childhood learning and development.

Our instructors have extensive experience working with children and developing learning programs that are proven to work and create the best learning outcomes. Our teaching staff establishes a secure, encouraging, and kind learning atmosphere where the kids can flourish and become successful learners.

We have two sizable outdoor play areas with many excellent features and activities. Through outdoor play, we allow the kids to exercise their physical abilities while developing their creativity, self-assurance, leadership, and independence.

Nutritional Policy
A cook prepares delicious, wholesome meals in our well-appointed onsite kitchen. They also pay attention to any food restrictions and allergies the children may have. All meals are made on-site with delectable, wholesome ingredients. With our full-service assistance, you can be sure that we'll appropriately adhere to your child's specific dietary needs.

Communication
Our centre updates families on their children's general progress and accomplishments through regular email newsletters. We warmly welcome and encourage parental or guardian engagement. We do what we can to find more ways to improve the early childhood experiences of the children under our care.

Angel Tots Early Learning Centre is located in the leafy suburb of Salamander Bay NSW. 

Our Early Learning Centre provides customised learning areas to offer children from 8 weeks old to 5 years a stimulating and supportive environment to explore, learn and grow.

The curriculum at Angel Tots is developed and planned in consultation with children, educators and families. It reflects the individual strengths of each child, as well as the needs of the group as a whole.

Our Angel Tots philosophy, current research and the National Early Years Learning Framework promotes and supports opportunities for children to learn through play.  

It is clear that children learn best through play when the experience is real and of meaning to them.

Angel Tots Early Learning Centre allow children with periods of unhurried play to learn and develop with our qualified educators available to scaffold children’s learning and development.

Angel Tots operates from 7am – 6pm, 50 weeks of the year. Our Service closes for all National Public Holidays and two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. Dates for closure are advised well in advance to allow parents plenty of time to plan.

Nutritional Policy
At the centre, we are implementing a healthy food program, which includes a healthy food menu for each age group, educating our children about healthy eating habits, and working with families to promote good nutrition for children. We also provide food and nutrition guidance for our staff and ensure all meals passes the appropriate dietary requirements of the kids.

There are a few ways that Goodstart Early Learning Nelson Bay conveys information to parents and teachers. Most of the time, we use newsletters, emails, phone calls, or face-to-face meetings.
