Young Preschool Kindergarten is a standalone centre that offers dedicated learning and social opportunities for children aged between 3 and 6 years old.  Centrally located, Young provides a convenient place for families to help their children prepare for their future education.  

The early years is a vital stage of children’s development and they can benefit greatly from the opportunities provided at Young Preschool by establishing positive foundations and learning patterns from an early age.  The centre can help children to arrive at school with social, emotional and cognitive skills that will equip them for the challenges they may find as they reach this important step. 

Services

Staff at Young Preschool Kindergarten are all qualified, experienced professionals who have developed a child centred curriculum based on the recommendations of the Early Years Learning Framework.  Children are exposed to learning at their age level in maths, science, literacy, environment, health, art and creativity.  Each child has the chance to develop friendships and to learn how to share and play with others, developing important life skills. Children will also learn how to regulate their emotions and manage expectations. 

Nutrition policy

Parents are asked to provide their child with snacks and drinks, with an emphasis on healthy eating. Children are encouraged to drink water when they are at Kindy.  Nuts and nut based products are not allowed on the premises due to potential allergic reactions.  

Grounds

The centre is located on a large block of land, with a safe, fenced outdoor play area to allow children to play and socialize together. Rooms are designed to encourage creativity and learning through play. Children’s art and other pieces of work are displayed all around the centre. 

Communication

Parents are the backbone of the Kindy community.  All children’s care givers are welcome to discuss their children’s needs and development with the staff at Youngs Preschool and Kindergarten or offer to share a talent or special skill. Parents are encouraged to help children learn the routines of kindergarten by supplying them with their own bag, lunchbox and water bottle and preparing them for the day.

About Us
Gumnut Grove Child Care Centre has operated since 4th November 1985 as a long day care centre catering for children 6 weeks to school age.

We aim to provide educational and stimulating programs for every child in every age group. We have 2 large indoor play areas as well as 2 large and exciting outdoor play areas for your children to play and grow.   

Both rooms have staff qualified with Diplomas in Children's Services and the Butterfly Room also has an Early Childhood Teacher employed to run the Preschool program giving your child the best head start to school possible.

Our cook who has completed specialist courses in food and nutrition for young children, provides meals daily including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack, all made from fresh produce bought locally.

Annette’s Place is a Community Based Not-For-Profit Centre with a strong emphasis on providing authentic learning experiences, listening to the voices of children and following their ideas in learning and play.

We nurture and value the relationships we form with our children and families and are actively involved within the local Young community. We value the role nature plays in the overall development of the child and actively encourage exploration and supported risk taking.

We provide After School Care and Vacation Care for children in infants and primary school.  Out of School Hours Care is led by an experienced educator who plans and implements age appropriate programs based on children’s interests and an educational rationale.  We operate under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

In After School Care we focus on providing a fun and interactive program where children have the opportunity to participate in both individual and group experiences.  At After School Care the children enjoy a healthy afternoon tea before participating in a variety of activities.  There is also the option for completing homework throughout the afternoon.  During Vacation Care the children regularly go on excursions in addition to the highly regarded program we offer on site.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Cowra is situated in a rural community located in the Central West region of New South Wales. Our child care centre has been a part of the community for more than 15 years.

Our centre philosophy is, 'Our best today, for their best tomorrow.' We  work as a collaborative team to ensure that we are providing the best care and education for our children to ensure their best and most positive futures.

Our educators continually upgrade their skills and knowledge, regularly attending professional development courses to be able to provide the best quality child care service for you and your family.

We have a large centre with four rooms catering for children aged 6 weeks to School age ' Nursery ' Kindergarten / Preschool. We also provide after school care and vacation care for children up to 12 years old.
Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities.

Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
 
Outside, our three large playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces ' with sandpits, vege patches, forts, mud kitchen, herb gardens and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability ' while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
 
We encourage open channels of communication with families and invite families to come into our centre and share information and special talents with the children. Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact.

Throughout the year Goodstart Cowra participates in many community events and we enjoy visits from the police, fire service and ambulance. We have monthly visits to the neighbouring retirement village where we sing with the residents and have morning tea together; and also engage with all of the Primary schools and the town Library; we go and visit to build our understanding of our wider community and to gain further experiences for life after care. 

Goodstart Cowra has a bus service which is utilised in collecting school aged children for after school care. During the day, the bus is used to take our children on education experiences within the community. During the school holidays our Vacation Care children use the bus to go and explore Orange, Bathurst, Parkes and anywhere in between.

 Nurture One North Cowra Children’s Centre is conveniently open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm for busy working families and also provides Before and After School Care and Vacation Care Programs for school-aged children to 12 years.

We have purpose-built rooms which ensures that everybody gets the most out of their experience here at North Cowra. We have four rooms categorised by age. Our Nursery room is for 0 – 2 year olds and is a bright, open and spacious area, designed for a wide variety of activities for the children to participate in. The nursery also has a separate sleep room with soft twinkle lights in the ceiling.

We have a Toddler room for our 2 – 3 year old children to spend their time in. The Toddler area has been created so that there are numerous opportunities for imaginative play and learning.

The three year old Kindy room has been carefully planned and set out in order to offer a variety of play and learning experiences for the children to engage and explore in.

Our four year old Pre-school room provides a unique opportunity for the children to prepare themselves for “big school”. Our transition to a School Readiness program is a part of our everyday educational program. We prepare children for school in our care by promoting all areas of their growth and development and focus on them becoming confident learners.

We embrace our belief that working in partnerships with our families helps to build secure and trusted relationships and we welcome their participation. We take great pride in watching as the children learn and grow as individuals and discover the world around them.
