Greystanes Childcare
Greystanes 2145 is located in Greater Sydney and is 25km from the CBD in Cumberland Shire. The suburb was founded in the late 1700s and is one of Sydney’s oldest suburbs, with many of the early residents from Malta. As such, the area has a large Maltese Australian community even today. There are plenty of parks and sporting facilities in the area, and the suburb is considered safe, with a median house price of just under $1 million.
For education, there are a number of public schools for primary and secondary students, as well as a couple of colleges and catholic schools. There is also an Intensive English centre at one of the high schools for migrants and refugees to learn English. For childcare, you’ll find a range of early learning centre options, including long daycare, occasional care, out of school hours care and family daycare. There are plenty of buses into and throughout the suburb, so it’s easy to make your way around if you don’t have your own transport.
What’s on offer
Local Greystanes childcare centres provide children with challenging and fun learning experiences that are based around play. There are outdoor activities for when the weather is great, including bike paths, climbing walls and sandpits. Some centres also have their own gardens.
While some childcare centres provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack, others require children to bring their own nutritious snacks.
Parents and caregivers are urged to communicate openly and many centres provide a portfolio either online or hard copy, which parents can access at any time of year to monitor their child’s progress at the centre.
