Goodstart Orange Kite Street – Childcare Centre is a centre-based early learning centre offering long daycare services for children aged zero to five. Our centre is conveniently located right in the middle of the Orange CBD, making it easily accessible to local working families.

We currently have the approval to care for 70 children at a time across three age groups—nursery, toddler, and preschool.  

Education & care
Our centre features fully interactive classrooms designed to inspire young minds and ignite every child’s innate love of learning. Based on the Early Years Learning Framework, we’ve designed a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum that gives every child the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Your child will also enjoy enriching learning experiences through our excursions and community events. These programs help deepen children’s relationships with the community and broaden their involvement in society.

Nutrition
It’s important for children to develop a healthy relationship with food and mealtimes in the early years, as these early experiences will impact them for the rest of their lives. Wholesome meals also provide them with the nutrients necessary to power their growing bodies and minds.

Based on this knowledge, we’ve designed a balanced, nutritious menu to meet the daily nutritional needs of every child. Our qualified cook prepares these fresh meals each day in our fully equipped kitchen.

Children love enjoying the tasty and healthy meals we serve at our centre and learn to enjoy sharing mealtimes with friends.  
  
Grounds
Our outdoor spaces feature plenty of natural elements for the children to enjoy and let their imaginations run free. Interacting with nature—and their peers—promotes a more meaningful preschool experience, inspires positive values, and builds critical skills like confidence and motor abilities.

Communication
At Goodstart Orange, we hold regular family nights designed to encourage open, clear communication between educators and families. We also send our regular newsletters via email to keep parents updated about their child’s progress and milestone achievements.

Millthorpe Little Learning Centre is a centre-based early learning centre located in Millthorpe, New South Wales. The facility provides long daycare services for a maximum of 38 children.

Millthorpe Little Learning Centre reflects the small-town atmosphere of its location, where we welcome children into a warm, comforting, home-like environment. It’s our goal to create a calming space where children are free to express their individuality.
 
As of 2019, Millthorpe Little Learning Centre meets all aspects of the Australian Government’s seven National Quality Standards criteria.

Services

We have several highly qualified and experienced educators working at our centre, providing quality care for the children each day. We follow a holistic curriculum, where we tune our activities to the unique desires, needs, and talents of each child.

To keep learning fun, we host regular events for children where they can get involved with planning. Involvement helps children to feel in control of their environment and confident in their abilities. We occasionally, for example, host “carnivals” where children assist with setting up and enjoying various games and activities, like face painting and egg-and-spoon races.

Other activities include Superhero Week, where we invite children to dress up as their favourite superhero character. We also have visits from community role models, such as firefighters.

Nutrition

We encourage a healthy, safe, and enjoyable environment for children to enjoy eating. We ask families to pack healthy meals for their child, and we provide fresh water throughout the day to keep children hydrated and their minds active.
 
Grounds

Our grounds feature a vivid playground, wide-open spaces, a natural garden, and a sandpit.

We have focused our outdoor areas on natural materials, providing plenty of sensory enjoyment for children. We also encourage sustainability and environmental conservation by teaching children about gardening and food production.

Communication

Each year, we provide a comprehensive portfolio outlining every child’s progress, interests, and creative works. 

We also hand out a regular newsletter that contains information about invoicing, staff changes, upcoming events, and other important news.

We encourage parents and caregivers to contact our educators if they have any questions, feedback, or suggestions about their child’s education.

Orange Pre-School Kindergarten Ltd

Seymour Street Early Learning is open from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year. We do close on public holidays. We cater for children from six-weeks to six-years of age, across six rooms. Each room has dedicated outdoor areas for learning through play, and we also have a dining room where our preschool children continue to learn and apply their life skills at lunch time.

Our rooms

We have six rooms that are broadly arranged by age, but we also focus on the developmental needs of each child.

Nursery One (0-12 months)
This room provides our youngest children a program based on a sense of security and designed to cater for the different developmental needs of each children.

Nursery Two (12-24 months)
Older nursery children broaden their skills in sharing, working independently, finding their own identity, and playing safely. Programs are developed around the individual which enables each child to develop at their own pace.

Tiny Tots (24-36 months)
Tiny Tots are discovering more about their bodies and how they work. They have more room to play, sing, and dance. Programs build on the interests of the children.

Toddlers (2-3 years)
Our Toddlers start being a little more independent – sharing, playing using real life skills, and starting their transition to being able to sit and listen to instruction. While the Toddler program focuses on play based learning, there is slightly more structure to the program and room routine.

Preschool One (3-4 years)
This room is where the children continue their growth and learning skills, slowly preparing them for their school years. They have listening time, learning time, and play time. They learn and grow so much in this room, make strong friendships and learn about their emotions and how to manage them. At the end of the year some children are ready for school, while others move on to the school readiness program offered in Preschool Two.

Preschool Two (4-5 years)
Our older children participate in a school readiness program designed to help prepare them for school, while still giving the younger children the opportunity to be exposed to the program and chance to join in. In this room all children participate in the Ella (Early Learning Languages Australia) program, where they learn the basics of another language. In the past children have learned French, and currently our chosen language is Japanese. As part of the school readiness program, children also have access to the Reading Eggs program.
