Lithgow OSHC is a private, for-profit organisation, established in 2020 by experienced and qualified Educator, Emma Dennis.

We are located at Cooerwull Public School, Lithgow and operate from the grounds of the Infants School. Staffed by qualified and experienced Educators, we provide a play based program that encourages children to foster social relationships, explore the world around them and have fun! We provide a varied and nutritious breakfast and afternoon tea during Before/After School Care.
 
We operate 50 weeks per year, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Before School Care 06:30-9am, After School Care 3pm-6pm and Vacation Care 8am-6pm. We are a registered service so families can apply the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce out of pocket costs where applicable.

Pied Piper Preschool first opened over 50 years ago, and has been an important and much-loved part of the Wallerawang community ever since. We've been in our current lovely building (which was constructed by the community) since 1991, with the playground undergoing a wonderful renovation in 2013. The preschool sits atop the hill in Wallerawang, with fantastic views over Lake Wallace (Wang Dam).

We provide high quality preschool education for children aged 3-5 years. We also provide a 2 year old session for younger children on Wednesday mornings. 

We follow the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which has learning through play and relationships at its foundation. We believe that children should be able to be children, with opportunities to explore, discover and understand the world around them, and to communicate, imagine and create. These things are at the very heart of a Pied Piper day.

As a community-based preschool, we are licensed by the Department of Education and Communities for 39 children every day, and a managed by a parent management committee. As a requirement of our license and regulations, all our educators hold early childhood qualifications. We have higher than required numbers of educators to children, which is recognized as an important contributing factor towards quality in an early childhood service.

First licensed in 1960, Jack & Jill remains privately owned and operated. Prior to becoming a child care center, the back building  a renovated stable, was known as the Calvert School which then became Highland School when it moved from this site..

About Us
Welcome to Nurture One Kelso Children’s Centre. 
Our care and education service is open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and provides quality long day care and education for children aged birth to six years.

nurtureone-kelso-15We have purpose built rooms which ensures that everybody gets the most out of their experience here at Kelso. We provide endless opportunities for imaginative play and learning with our well-resourced rooms and natural playscape outdoor areas.

In addition to quality care and education, the centre provides nappies and nutritious meals as part of the fees.

We believe in our children learning the importance of protecting and respecting the environment and we make all attempts to “reduce, recycle and reuse”. We also have a functioning compost bin and worm farm to strengthen our environmental care.

We have a number of herb gardens across all yards and the children and educators grow and tend to these. We have veggie patches that are an integral part of our program. We have second generation Pekin chickens and with the help of the children, we nurture them to ensure we develop an understanding of caring for these cute creatures. They will also work well with the veggie patch to decompose our food scraps and make sure that nothing is wasted.
