Sutherland, NSW
The suburb of Sutherland serves as the administrative centre for the Sutherland Shire in Southern Sydney and is a popular area with strong transport links to the rest of Sydney and easy access to beaches and bushland. A main feature of the suburb is the beautifully laid out Worona Memorial Park, (formerly Woronora Cemetery & Crematorium) The extensive park covers 110 acres of land and includes rose gardens and niche buildings such as the the Garden Court built in the 1950's, Floral Court, Palm Court in 1970 and Centenary Court, built in 1995. A second large park, Prince Edward Park lies between the Woronora River and Sutherland with boating and fishing facilities as well as walk trails incorporated. Sutherland also has excellent sporting facilities for locals.
Sutherland has a range of childcare options, with a choice for all families in the region. Community child care centres are available, with centres operating within school grounds, as well as private centres such as Little Scribblers, or Moore St Early Education Centre. Family Day Care is also available, and there are several choices for faith based child care opportunities.
All centres follow national guidelines and offer a caring and nurturing home away from home for all children.
