Bush Babies Childcare is an early learning centre located in Warrimoo, New South Wales. The centre offers high-quality long daycare services for children across the local area.

Through our airy, spacious, and open classrooms, children will enjoy a learning experience like no other. We emphasise holistic teaching and hands-on activities, subtly building motor skills while building environmental awareness and an early interest in sustainability.

As of July 2018, our centre holds a National Quality Standards rating of ‘Meeting NQS’. This rating indicates high standards across all seven quality areas, as expected by the Australian Government.

As a privately owned and operated centre set upon a small acreage, we are uniquely able to provide one-on-one care and support for each child.

Blossoms Room

Our Blossoms Room supports children aged zero to three years. In this room, children will enjoy age-appropriate activities and experiences such as:

Gumnut Room

We have designed our Gumnut Room to support children aged three to five years. Along with the activities offered in our Blossoms Room, we also offer a comprehensive preschool program to prepare your child for school life.

We understand children sense and react emotionally to the world around them. As such, we have designed welcoming, comfortable, and stimulating play spaces where each child feels safe and free to explore.

Nutrition

Our in-house cook prepares nutritious and balanced meals each day, including:

We have posted these menus in our kitchen, making it easy for you to see the foods your child has eaten each day. 

Grounds

Our grounds feature a lush, expansive garden the children love to tend to each day. Bush Babies isn’t just a name—children at our centre are true explorers, investigating trees, bugs, leaves, and native plant life across our amazing bushy acreage.

Any time you wish to access updates about your child’s day, simply refer to our sign-in book or have a chat with our staff. We also welcome any questions, suggestions, or feedback you may have about our centre.

At Bush Babies OOSH, we draw inspiration from the My Time, Our Place learning framework. This modern framework emphasises play-based, child-centred education and works towards five key outcomes:

We offer both before school and after school care services. In our before school program, we offer breakfast for each child and walk them to the school’s front to begin the day. In our after school care program, we provide afternoon tea and plan various fun activities.

Nutrition

The meals we provide during before and after school care follow the Australian Dietary Guidelines. These guidelines emphasise physical activity, nutrition, and variety, while limiting foods containing high sugar, salt, and saturated fat content.

Grounds

Engaging in regular outdoor play builds environmental consciousness and physical health in every child. Across our gardens and play spaces, children will enjoy relaxing on the grass with friends, creating sculptures from natural materials, or running, skipping, and hopping across our unstructured play environments.

Looking for a place for your child to have fun, learn and discover their unique abilities? Welcome to Little Miracles Blaxland, conveniently located just off the Great Western Highway and near Blaxland train station with a small farmyard for the children to enjoy.

We cater for 89 children each day, aged 6 weeks to 6 years with five rooms for our Little Angels (0 – 1yr),Radiant Rainbows (1 – 2yrs), Shining Stars (2 – 3yrs), Amazing Asteroids (3 – 4yrs) and look out for the Mighty Meteors (4 – 5yrs)! We provide ample room for outdoor play with 3 outdoor areas with 2 under cover and the other having a verandah, this provides ample opportunity for the children to play outside even in poor weather.  While outside the children can choose between multiple cubby houses and even a natural tepee. For the more active child, obstacle courses, rock climbing wall, slides and bikes are on offer. Embracing the sustainable  way of life, we have veggie gardens, chickens and other birds for the children to learn about and care for.

Springwood and District Kindergarten is a community owned Preschool for children aged 3-6 years, and is able to accommodate 54 children per day. The preschool first opened its doors in 1975, and in 2011 went through a total indoor refurbishment to update. Over our 40 years we have seen many families come then successfully transition onto big school and we realise that an essential part of the preschool’s successful formula derives from wonderful families who have faith in the teaching team. The teams of teachers are experienced, with the average having been employed here at the preschool for at least 14 years. Our team is highly motivated and passionate about teaching with many of them constantly returning to formal education themselves to upgrade qualifications to ensure current educational methodologies are maintained and reflected into practice within the preschool. The underpinning belief is to ensure that every child has a great preschool experience, with access to quality programs. It is our belief that a great preschool experience has the ability to be one of the most important influences on the children’s wellbeing, which benefits them through their whole school life. Online enrolments are welcomed and can occur directly through our website by following the links provided in the ‘Enrolling at Preschool’ tab at the top of the webpage. Our preschool operates during school terms, Monday to Friday 8:00am until 4:00pm and is closed on public holidays (parents do not pay for any preschool closure days). Fees are paid fortnightly in advance and the fee schedule can be viewed on the ‘About us’ page of this website. (Economic subsides are available for qualifying low income families).

Tanderra operates from a converted house centrally located in Springwood that feels like a 'home away from home'. Our qualified and experienced staff team is made up of people who are caring, enthusiastic and deeply committed to providing children with a safe, fun and stimulating environment in which to enjoy their out of school hours. Founded in 1983, Evans Head-Woodburn Pre-School is a non-profit community owned pre-school. We are an inclusive service catering for all children and their families.
In Evans Head, we are currently licensed for 30 children, 5 days per week during school terms.

In 2010 we opened a centre at Woodburn. Our Woodburn centre is licensed for 25 children, 4 days per week during school terms.

In both our centres, our curriculum is play based and child focused. Our staff are trained and experienced. They provide learning experiences to foster individual strengths, needs and interests.

We work in partnership with families to create a caring and nurturing environment with open communication. Our strong relationship with local schools underpins our transition to school program.

In 2019 the National Quality Standard rated the centre with an overall Rating of Meeting which shows how we are meeting the high expectations in all Quality Areas. We were also proud to receive Exceeding in Quality Area 6 – Partnerships with Communities and Families.

Little Munchkins has been operating since 1993 and in that time we have  had a reputation of serving our local community with the highest quality of care. We are a ‘Family Grouped’ centre and provide a home like environment for the children we care for.

Our Centre caters for 30 children each day ranging from 2-5 years of age. Opening hours are 7.30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday. We only close for 4 weeks each year, over Christmas/New Year.

We are very proud of our reputation for keeping our experienced educators for many years at a time. This is reflected in the harmonious and friendly atmosphere we enjoy at Munchkins. Our warm, friendly, caring educators see each child as individuals with unique personalities who should be able to explore their own interests, talents, skills and ideas in a friendly and nurturing environment. We have a strong relationship with our families and others from the wider community. We greatly appreciate the interactions we have with the children and their families to support our ongoing programming and daily experiences.

Our beautiful garden playground and vegetable patch support our programs relating to respecting and nurturing the environment and nature. They also help us to focus on sustainability in a practical and thoughtful way.
