Welcome to Kindy Patch Grovely Early Education Centre. Our centre is filled with charm and character that will ensure your children play and learn in a relaxed but stimulating environment.

Our centre provides care and education for children aged birth to six years and is open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Our experienced and qualified educators provided specialised programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework including a specialised Kindergarten program; aimed at preparing the children for school and beyond.

In addition to quality educational programs, our centre provides nappies and nutritious meals for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and a range of extra –curricular activities including PhysiKids and Happy Feet fitness classes.

Mother Duck Child Care at Gaythorne provides an extension of home for each child, with surroundings that are designed to encourage and comfort. We offer centre based care and operate an early start from 6.30am to 6pm.

Services
All our educators are highly trained and bring their wealth of experience to provide a nurturing environment for the children in their care. They have developed a holistic learning curriculum, that uses a play based approach to support and enhance learning. Mother Duck Child Care, Gaythorne is committed to building collaborative relationships with parents to provide the best experience for all children. We see each child as an individual and strive to encourage them to develop at their own pace, in their own unique way. We ensure that children maintain ongoing links with the community, by excursions and incursions. This includes working closely with the local library to provide literacy based opportunities that foster a love of reading and books. Our education programmes are designed to help children transition confidently and easily into primary school when they finish Kindergarten. 

Grounds 
Our indoor space is designed to inspire, stimulate and relax the mind. Three spacious outdoor play areas offer plenty of shade with a sandpit and playground designed to extend children’s physical confidence. Younger children have a separate play area and we also have a garden to help the children maintain their connection with food as part of nature. 

Communication 
An individual profile is maintained for each child in the centre which helps to share their development with parents, with a daily record appropriate to each age group. All children receive a learning profile at the end of the year to keep. 

Nutrition Policy
All our meals are centred around allergy-friendly, nutrition based guidelines and give the children energy and focus to make the most of their day.

Camelia Avenue Childcare Centre is a centre-based, long daycare facility located in Everton Hills, Queensland. We provide high-quality education and care for 91 children at one time, aged from six weeks to six years.

We are a family-owned and operated centre with more than 20 years of experience in the childcare field. Our philosophy encourages secure, stimulating, and welcoming education where all children are valued for their unique strengths.

Services

At Camelia Avenue Childcare Centre, we see each child as an individual. As educators, we aim to support individuality and allow children to express their innate interests, needs, and talents.

Nutrition

Our on-site chef prepares fresh, healthy meals for the children each day. These meals include:

   ● Afternoon tea

We have designed our menu to meet at least 50% of every child’s daily nutritional needs. Based on the National Quality Framework and the Australian Dietary Guidelines, our meals include dairy, high-iron cereal, wholemeal toast, and other highly nutritious foods.

Grounds

Our grounds feature both natural and man-made resources, creating a connection between our indoor and outdoor environments. Where possible, we invite children to be involved with and contribute to our outdoor setups.

Including open spaces, a sandpit, and a large playground, our centre offers plenty of opportunities for children to build confidence in their physical abilities.

Communication

At Camelia Avenue Childcare Centre, we recognise that strong, positive connections with families can have excellent effects on a child’s early development. We value the involvement and participation of parents and caregivers in our little community.

Via our specialised app, parents can stay up-to-date about their child’s learning and progress. This app allows families to access their child’s portfolio, community posts, learning cycles, and other vital information. Every six months, we provide a summative assessment based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

We are located in a quiet leafy residential street in Ferny Hills. The playgrounds at Birralee are natural with grass, trees and sandpits in each play area, reminiscent of your own childhood experiences.

We are committed to teaching the children about caring for our environment with the use of water tanks for watering vegetable gardens, worm farms and composting. The children at Birralee are encouraged to spend time outdoors and enjoy tactile experiences.

The centre is fortunate to have long term staff members with very low staff turnover.

We see children as individual and unique, and understand they come to our centre with their own perceptions and understandings of the world around them.  We accept and value diversity and aim to create an environment where all children feel a sense of belonging.  We aim to build strong partnerships with families, supporting them in their task of nurturing and educating young children.

At The Hills District Child Care Centre, we offer a comprehensive program for the children in our care and guarantee quality input at every level. Keeping our standards in line with The National Child Care Regulations our Educators hold their Diplomas of Childcare and Education, Certificate 3 in Childcare and Education. Our Kindergarten Teacher holds her Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood. Educators hold current first aid certificates inclusive of CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis training. Educators attend professional development workshops including Child Protection training.
