About Us
Warwick Community Kindergarten is a not for profit organisation that was established in 1949 and was built by the Warwick Community. It is run by a very dedicated group of parents, who ensure that the sole focus of our centre is to give your child the greatest start to their formal education by providing a safe, caring and supportive environment.

We have two units offering kindergarten programs during the school terms for those children who are turning four years old by 30 June in the year they attend (i.e. children in the year immediately prior to the prep year).

We are a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten provider, and use the government approved curriculum, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline developed by the Queensland Studies Authority www.qsa.qld.edu.au.

Our Centre is affiliated with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc., a community-based not for profit organisation with a proud and substantial history in providing services for young children and their families.

Our well respected childhood learning environment, with university qualified teachers, offers activities such as reading books, painting, solving puzzles, role playing by dressing up as nurses/doctors, and builders building block houses. We also have many little farmers who enjoy feeding the chooks and tending the vegie gardens, along with some hairdressers, while others enjoy the swings and cubby house.

Each year the Kindy also welcomes a range of special guests for the children to meet, including the dentist, fire brigade, ambulance, police, cowboys and cow girls just to name a few.

Goodstart Warwick Wood Street - Childcare Centre is where learning and fun take place all at the same time. We are located in the Westside Shopping Centre, making pick-ups and drop-offs stress-free. The whole centre is also packed with features and programs that are meant to take early childhood education to the next level.

Engaging Outdoor Activities
The playgrounds have age-appropriate equipment and spaces. They can easily build their motor skills as they have fun with the swings, sandpits, grass, soft fall areas, vege path, flower gardens, bridge, dry creek bed, and more. We also make sure to help them understand the value of sustainability. 

We take them on excursions and expose them to community events to enrich their early childhood education and sense of community

Nutritional Policy
Our talented cook onsite prepares nutritious and tasty meals that make even the fussy eaters love mealtimes.

We also take into account the food allergies and restrictions the children may have.

Communication
We send newsletters regularly and also gather parents at family nights and events. We maintain an open and collaborative environment where everyone can contribute to the betterment of the children’s early learning experience.

Goodstart Early Learning Ltd

Goodstart Warwick Percy Street is an EChO (Enhancing Children’s Outcomes) centre, making sure to offer extra attention and care to children who are more vulnerable and marginalised. We make sure to support these children and their families, facilitating stronger and more meaningful learning outcomes. 

Grounds
Our centre has four classrooms, catering for children from six weeks old up to school age. They are all set up and designed in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework. With our play-based and stimulating curriculum, we make sure to develop engaging educational programs that take into account the different needs and strengths of each child. 

We also have playground areas that contain a perfect balance of manmade and natural elements and play surfaces. This includes a water tank, warm farm, mud pit, sandpits, vege patch, swings, and a bike track. 

This encourages children to develop a stronger understanding and appreciation of their environment while still allowing them to have fun and let their imaginations run free. 

Nutritional Policy
Here at Goodstart Warwick Percy Street, children are provided with not just their educational needs, but their dietary needs as well. We have an onsite chef responsible for providing the children with meals throughout the day, from breakfast to afternoon tea.

We also make sure to ask the families for any allergies, intolerances or any other dietary requirements their children might have so we can adjust our menu accordingly.

Communication
Guiding the children towards their growth and development is made easier by maintaining consistent and clear communication with their families. This way, we’re able to keep the parents informed of their child’s learning progress and receive valuable feedback from the families we serve.

With parents being provided with consistent updates of their child’s milestones and achievements, they are afforded peace of mind, knowing their children are well nurtured and looked after.

Headstart Australia is a family owned and operated Centre that has been serving the Allora community since 2006. Starting in 1990, Headstart opened their doors in Warwick with their first Centre. Headstart grew to three Centres in Warwick, one in Allora, and a School Age Care Centre. Now, over 25 years later the Headstart legacy has been past through the family in order to bring education, wonder, friendship and joy to the next generation of children.

Headstart caters for all children from 15 months of age through to primary school age children. We offer large, inviting and educational environments for children to learn and play in while at Headstart. Children and families will enjoy the Mixed Age Room for our toddlers, and the Kindy Room for our kindergarten and pre-prep children. The School Age Room offers an inviting and engaging environment for primary children to explore and relax in. All rooms offer dedicated programs designed to cater for your child's individual needs, interests and abilities; this includes our Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program. 

Our team at Headstart is highly qualified with years of experience in the field of early years education. Our Educators hold Certificates or Diplomas in Children's Services, First Aid qualification, Child Protection training, and Blue Card Working with Children checks. Our Early Childhood Teacher operating the Kindergarten Program also holds his Bachelor of Early Years Educations.

At Headstart we constantly promote the benefits of quality child care for children's development in their first five years of life. We also understand that child care can be costly. That is why Headstart offers affordable care options for families, from one to five days of care per week.
