Brunswick is located in Melbourne, just 6km from the CBD in the City of Moreland. In 2016 it had a recorded population of 24,473. Brunswick is described as a great suburb, easily accessible via public transport with train stations and trams available. It’s a hot spot for cafes, the arts and live music and provides a friendly neighbourhood lifestyle with a working-class background. It is noted for its large Italian and Greek communities.
Brunswick has a range of schooling options for children, with one government primary school in the suburb, and other options in neighbouring areas. There are also two catholic primary schools, two government secondary schools, a catholic secondary school and a catholic college. It’s also home to the RMIT University. Child care is varied, with early learning centre options providing family daycare, out of school hours care, occasional care and other long daycare options. Buses operate throughout the suburb, as well as rail and tram routes.
