Kids Haven Childcare is a long day-care centre located in Campbellfield, Victoria. The centre offers long day-care for a maximum of 102 children aged from infancy to school age.

At Kids Haven Childcare, we believe that every child is a capable, unique individual requiring their own time and way to develop their full potential. We understand that a child’s development is dynamic, complex, holistic, and intricately interwoven with several socio-cultural factors. We aim to provide the best opportunity for each of them to flourish. As an educator, our major responsibility is to support the children and encourage them to reach their highest potential.

Services

We take children from the age of infancy to school age – we plan age-appropriate activities for all children under our care. We encourage children to set up their own space every day. They are encouraged to rearrange and put away the toys after play. This instils a feeling of responsibility and duty in their minds.
 
Nutrition

At Kids Haven Childcare, we believe in encouraging children to eat right and healthy. Our chefs prepare a balanced meal considering all the nutritional needs of the children and make sure they meet their daily nutritional requirements. We have different menus for summer and winter to make sure the dietary needs are met. During mealtime, we encourage kids to practice good table manners, food hygiene, and nutrition. 

Grounds

We have ample open space and a playground with child-friendly spaces. We believe that children should have enough space to run around and play. Only then will they able to achieve overall physical and mental fitness. We have designed our play area in such a way so that the children can enjoy playing outdoors while learning about nature. It will help to instil a feeling of respect for the environment.

Communication

We understand that the most powerful influence in a child’s life is the family and that it is essential to understand each child’s family. We aspire to form a trusting partnership with families and use all avenues to promote free communication and shared decision making for the benefit of children under our care.

Dallas and Upfield Kindergarten are managed by the Northern Schools Early Years Cluster Inc. and are located within the grounds of Dallas Brooks Community Primary School.

In 2013, Dallas and Upfield Kindergarten  moved to  new purpose built facilities within the grounds of Dallas Brooks Community Primary School in King Street, Broadmeadows.

The K – 6 philosophy of Dallas Brooks Community Primary School enables an extended kindergarten/school transition program to occur and allows the kindergarten aged child and their families to become familiar with a school environment very early on in their education journey.

Dallas and Upfield Kindergarten offer both 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten programs. Currently, each four year old program offers 12 hours of kindergarten per week, whereas the three year old program offers two sessions of kindergarten per week.

In 2013, the kindergarten is on target to offer 15 hours of kindergarten per week.
