
Nature Through Nurture in the Early Years provides long day care for Mandurah families in an atmosphere of love, learning and respect.  At Nature Through Nurture, children are encouraged to explore their environment to learn about themselves.  Staff foster children’s curiosity and wonder and help them discover through nature, as well as building an understanding of their sense of belonging to the land. 

Services

The centre’s eight values underpin the curriculum and overall programme, namely Creativity, Empowerment, Love, Respect, Excellence, Wonder, Gratitude and Generosity.  In-depth learning is achieved via authentic experiences which include gardening, poetry, music, yoga, stories, woodwork and dance. 

The curriculum is designed around children’s own interests, observations during play and through regular meetings with family members. Children learn though play, with the environment as their ‘third’ teacher.  The Daily Curriculum is displayed in the entry, and reflects the statement of purpose and the voices of the centre leadership, educators, families and the children themselves. 

Children develop an understanding of materials, their properties and how to use them, and join in collaborative projects that make use of different mediums such as clay, beeswax and watercolours.  Art forms such as sculpture, felting, papermaking and observational drawing.

Grounds

The homely, attractive environment provide a place where children can make real connections with nature and develop a sense of trust.  Children can access the outdoors whatever the weather, with raincoats and gumboots provided, where they can experience high risk situations in a safe setting including whittling and outdoor cooking.  The programme also includes environmental responsibility. 

Nutrition Policy 

Nurture Through Nature provides nutritional and balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, reinforcing the connection between a healthy body and healthy mind.  Water is freely available for all children.  Allergies and diet restrictions are catered for in discussion with the family. 

Communication

Staff meet regularly with each child’s parents or guardians to keep in touch with the child’s interests, talents and how they are feeling.  This helps educators at Nurture Through Nature to plan programmes that meet each child’s educational and emotional needs.  Parents can also communicate through email and telephone, through journals and at drop off.

Ace Early Learning Centre provides care for children aged 8 weeks - 12 years. Typical hours of care are 6am - 6:30pm. 
Long day care is a service provided for parents to ensure their children are being cared for when parents have other commitments or work to attend. Our service prides itself on following NQS standards and implementing EYLF throughout our curriculum and planned activities. Our services provide a home away from home with a strong emphasis on play based learning.

At Sparrow Early Learning Mandurah, we pride ourselves on being part of a large community whilst still maintaining close and long lasting relationships within it. We work in a mutually supportive environment that strengthens and builds on our relationships with the children and their families.

For the convenience of busy families we are open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and offer early education and care for children up to 12 years of age. We offer children healthy meals, a comfortable and safe learning environment with large outdoor shaded play areas and separate play spaces for different age groups. We provide interactive learning programs for all children and tailor these programs to meet their individual needs. For older children, we offer a comprehensive Kindy program.

At Sparrow Early Learning Mandurah, we foster and support great relationships with the families through our friendly, qualified and well-trained staff. All our educators hold qualifications from Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services through to BA level Early Childhood Qualifications as well as speaking various languages.

Our educators believe in listening to our children, and using their interests to provide inviting and challenging play experiences that in turn support their learning and development. Our practice reflects the Reggio Emilia Approach and this is evident in the environments and children’s individual and group work within our Service.

Jack and Jill Early Learning Centre has been operating in Mandurah for over 40 years. We are a small  business, owned and operated by Danielle "Danni"  Miles. Danni is both the Licensee and Nominated Supervisor.

​Our centre coordinator, Emma Morgan, has over 27 years experience in the Education and care of children, including a number of years as a Child care lecturer. Emma is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching).

Nutrition policy

At 4 Big Kids, we believe in the importance of teaching children the value of good nutrition. For children enrolled in our vacation care program, we ask parents to provide healthy morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. For children enrolled in our before and after school care programs, we are able to provide healthy breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Our meals are designed to align with the standards set by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. 

Grounds

Our centre offers excellent learning environments. We strive to ensure that 4 Big Kids is an inviting and inclusive centre. We have great outdoor play spaces, including a sandpit, playgrounds, basketball courts, and ovals. Our centre is close to the Caterpillar Park playground, which we often use in the afternoons. We also have great indoor teaching environments, which are equipped with high-quality educational tools and resources. 

Communication

We know that children’s families are an important part of their learning journeys. At 4 Big Kids, we maintain regular communication with children’s families, providing updates on centre events and teaching programs. Parents are able to contact us via our website and are always welcome to speak with our educators at centre drop-off and pick-up times.
