Mandurah is a coastal city, south of Perth, featuring canal living, and plenty of beaches for swimming, boating and fishing. Dolphins are frequently sighted with Halls Head Beach home to a large resident dolphin population. A direct train runs from Mandurah to Perth, as well as easy road access.
Food and Activities
As well as water based activities, Mandurah Wetlands is home to migratory birds, and ancient Thrombolites at Lake Clifton. The Mandurah Crab fest is just one of many festivals, live music, comedy and plays performed in the town and at the performing arts centre. Boat tours depart regularly from Dolphin Quay, and the region has a number of walking trails including the Bibbulum Track. The Manduarah boardwalk has many enticing restaurants and cafes and a trip to Mandurah wouldn’t be complete without visiting King Carnival or the Miniature village and maze.
Education
With many families commuting to their place of employment, Mandurah has many child care options from Madora Bay to Halls Head. Meadow Springs, Treasured Tots and Goodstarts all provide long day care, and 4 Big Kids is one option for OSHC. Family day care is also available.
