About us

We offer long daycare at our centre and we can be found at 481 Balfour street, Southern River WA 6110. Here, at Nido Early School Southern River, our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia education style. Which is based on building an environment that promotes curiosity in children because curious children are eager to learn. Our food philosophy

At Nido Early School Southern River we borrow our inspiration from an Italian philosophy where the kitchen, or the cucina, is the hub of the home. It is food that brings us together, creates community, inspires conversation, allows exploration, and delivers nutrition. We provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea with our menus based on the ‘Start Right Eat Right’ program in conjunction with nutritionists and dieticians. The menus are reviewed every 6 months to ensure we are delivering the children their daily nutritional requirements. Any medical, dietary, or cultural requirements can be catered for.

Our aim

The food philosophy of Nido Early School Southern River does not stop at the food we feed the children in our centre, but also to instil a respect, that lasts a lifetime, for food and its sustainability. It is important to us that children learn an understanding of where their food comes from and so, we use as many fresh vegetables as we can from our gardens. For a small donation, our cucina can even cook a birthday cake to share with your child’s peers.

Great Beginnings Gosnells is open from 6:30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday and we cater for children betweeen the ages of 0 – 6 years. We offer before and after school care at selected schools and have a nutritious menu.

We offer lots of outdoor playground space and inviting environments, including veggie gardens and a worm farm which is tended to daily by our children as a part of our daily practices. Our incursions include Happy Feet Fitness which is run every week.
