About the Early Childhood Centre
Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre is a Long Day Care and Education Centre located in Brisbane’s leafy western suburbs. A highly qualified and dedicated team of professionals deliver care and education programs for children from 6 weeks to prep entry.
Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre was built in 1992 by its current owners, who continue to play an active role in ensuring minimum standards are exceeded, providing a uniquely spacious and well-resourced play and learning environment.
At Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre we view Early Childhood as a valuable time of life that not only sets the scene for future learning and development but also as a time that should be meaningful and rewarding in the present. Children are valuable members of our community who are capable decision makers and collaborators within the Centre community.
Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre prides itself on its large natural playground. The three quarter acre grounds include a modern fort, 2 large sandpits, large open grassed areas, mature shade trees, lush gardens, water hand pump , creek bed, digging patch, garden cubby house and bike track.
Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre plays an important role in the prevention of skin cancer.
Reducing children’s exposure to UVR is considered to be the single most effective strategy for reducing future rates of skin cancer in Australia.
