Early Years Education in Como provides long day care services for children aged from birth to kindergarten. Services At Early Years Education, we provide quality educational programmes which will prepare your child to succeed in their early years. Our early childhood educators specifically address the needs of each child by tailoring educational programmes to the child's individual learning needs and interests. Our centre has three separate programmes run by trained Early Childhood teachers - 2 Years Old Program, Pre Kindy and Kindergarten. We are committed to nurturing a sense of adventure and discovery and our goal is to develop a desire for future learning. Our room for children aged up to two years is small, with no more than 5 children, and allows children to build positive learning habits. We provide fun care, and focus on development language, communication and gross motor skills. Our pre-Kindy class is for children at 3-4 years and is based on the fundamentals of the Australian curriculum. We’re passionate about literacy and use play based programs at this early age to help children develop reading and writing skills. This leads children to the government-approved Kindergarten program, that has a maximum of 10 children. This program provides long day care services and incorporates the Kindergarten program into that time. Nutritional Policy Children are required to bring their own healthy and nutritious lunch and snacks to the centre with them each day. The centre is multicultural, so children are exposed to a wide variety of foods through the children around them. Grounds Early Years Education has open spaces, a playground and garden for children to grow and learn. We believe that play and exploration are essential for children’s learning in their early years and encourage both indoor and outdoor play. Communication At Early Years Education, we are regularly in touch with parents regarding the progress of your child. We send out regular emails and collect observations, photos and a portfolio that you are presented at the end of each term. The portfolio is an integral part of your child’s learning progress and shows their overall performance – and gives them something to be proud of. It also provides parents with a great way to keep track of their child’s progress. Our educators are also available to chat upon drop off or pick up.
