Our highly trained staff provide individual programs for each child in an inclusive setting guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. We use the framework to guide our educators in their curriculum decision making as a part of an ongoing cycle to assist in planning, implementation and evaluating children’s learning. Educators intentionally scaffold children’s understanding and learning by making use of spontaneous and intentional teachable moments to extend on children’s learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, construction, sand and water play, science, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, early language and literacy activities such as drawing and writing.
We acknowledge the pivotal role that families play in children’s lives. We incorporate this into our program to Guide and support children and their families making them feel they have a secure base from which to develop and grow. We strive to maintain positive relationships with families are by having an open- door policy and welcoming their feedback. We use their feedback to build upon our curriculum whilst maintaining high quality care. We also strive to further our community involvement and understand the importance of fostering partnerships within our local community.
We value the natural environment and its creatures and are committed to sustainable practices. Our aim is to be a community role model in sustainability by caring for the environment, by reducing, reusing, recycling and being ‘green’. Above all, we recognise that children need to engage in sustainable practices which develop their respect for nature.
We value children’s cultural and religious backgrounds, believing that all children should be treated equally regardless of gender, culture, religion, and ability. We work in collaboration with families and local communities to provide high quality education and care in a warm, secure environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
