124 Children Places

Maximum children licenced for the centre.

Launchpad Early Learning Centre, located in Lower Plenty, Victoria, provides long daycare for a maximum of 124 students. Launchpad educators offer care and education in a centre-based setting. Launchpad derives its name from its core goal—to launch children into a universe of discovery. By investigating a world of possibilities in a robust community environment, children will develop essential life skills and a deep sense of self-worth. Services At Launchpad, we emphasise three core values: Readiness, Respect, and Resilience. Readiness means we take a rich, reciprocal approach to learning, focusing on literacy and storytelling. Respect means we teach respect for others, ourselves, and the world around us. Resilience means we encourage self-worth and assurance in all children under our care. Through taking risks and directing their own learning, children will develop the confidence to rise above life’s barriers and pitfalls. Our curriculum centres around the five “selves”: - The Emotional self - The Social self - The Cognitive self - The Creative Self - The Physical self Together, these “selves” form the “Whole Child”. As guided by the Reggio and Montessori educational philosophies, we encourage play-based learning. We also centre our curriculum around the Australian government’s National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework. Nutrition At Launchpad, we recognise the invaluable benefits of healthy eating and active living. Based on the Victorian Government’s Healthy Eating Advisory Service, we craft balanced, nutritious menus for our children to enjoy. Each day, our in-house chef prepares delicious homemade meals. Where possible, we incorporate fresh produce from our veggie patches and fruit trees into these meals. We cater to all dietary requirements and take allergies and intolerances very seriously. Our staff are all trained in Anaphylaxis/EpiPen usage and First Aid. Grounds By exploring our lush, natural play spaces, children will develop respect for the environment and develop their sensory, creative, problem-solving, and social skills. Our dedicated outdoor areas feature native plant life, sensory decks, dirt-digging patches, bush cubbies, and much more. Communication Community and family connections are essential to a child’s development. We encourage parents and caregivers to get in touch with our support team at any time with questions, feedback, or enrolment enquiries.
