Sunkids Oxley has been providing quality long daycare for South West Brisbane families for 15 years in a purpose built, high quality centre. 14 languages are spoken within our multicultural team and the centre caters for 129 children from 6 weeks old to school age. The seven modern learning rooms are professionally designed to enhance the learning and development for each age group. Sunkids Oxley’s convenient location provides quick access to Aldi, Bunnings, Archerfield Airport, and numerous bus stops and is ideal for families within Oxley, Durack, Corinda, Inala and Archerfield. Services Families have access to a private lounge and breastfeeding area, public library and reading area to share time with children during drop off. Sunkids provide all children with daily meals, nappies and linen, sunscreen and hand sanitiser, and a hat, drink bottle and bag. The learning programme includes yoga and meditation, music and sports, Japanese, interesting and fun incursions and visiting shows plus invitations to special events and celebrations. A Kindergarten programme is also offered. Nutrition policy Healthy eating is part and parcel of Sunkids centres. An on-site chef prepares meals for the children daily, catering for all dietary requirements. Healthy, nutritious ingredients contribute to morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Menus alternate weekly, with parental input encouraged. Babies are provided a variety of tastes suitable for their stage of development. Mealtimes are eaten in an outdoor piazza and are times for relaxed socialising and interaction. Grounds Oxley Sunkids is committed to letting children explore their boundaries, providing a large, exciting outdoor play area. The children enjoy sandpits, a rock river bed, bike tracks, obstacle courses, slides and hill mounds. The rooms include reading nooks and a variety of engaging play areas. Communication Sunkids utilise online tools, recording individual learning for each child to ensure seamless communication with parents. The educators also maintain a portfolio of each child’s pieces to share at home which helps establish and maintain close working relationships with parents as the primary carers of the child. A secure sign in and sign out process ensures the safety of all children.
