Bacchus Marsh Child Care & Kindergarten Centre is a centre-based early learning centre located in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. The centre offers long daycare services for a maximum of 50 children aged from birth to school age. We also offer a funded preschool and kindergarten program for children aged from three to five. As of November 2016, our centre meets or exceeds all quality areas laid out in the National Quality Standards, reflecting our dedication to high-quality programming. Services At Bacchus Marsh Childcare & Kindergarten Centre, our team of educators comprises experienced teachers holding a range of tertiary qualifications. Our Kindergarten Teacher holds a university-level Bachelor of Education, specialising in Early Childhood Teaching, while our other Educators and Support Staff have certifications in Children’s Services. We divide our centre into three rooms, each providing age-appropriate education and care: ● Babies Room ● Toddler Room ● Kindergarten We base our programs on the national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF). The concept behind these two frameworks is to enrich children’s learning through every stage (from birth to five years) and to help their smooth transition into ‘Big School’. Nutrition At Bacchus Marsh, we recognise how crucial proper nutrition is for emotional, cognitive, and social development. As such, we provide healthy, nutritious, and balanced food and drink options for every child in our care. Based on the ‘Kids Go For Your Life’ framework, along with the National Healthy Eating Guidelines for Early Childhood Settings, our two on-site cooks prepare fresh, delicious, and healthy meals each day. Wherever possible, we incorporate seasonal produce and new flavours into our meals to encourage exploration and experimentation. Grounds In early childhood development, outdoor play is just as important as healthy eating. We provide plenty of space for children to explore the outside world, whether alone or with friends. These spaces include a large playground, wide-open spaces, and a lush yard area featuring abundant plantlife. Communication We keep in touch with families through various methods, including newsletters, regular in-person discussions, and surveys. Wherever possible, we will re-evaluate and adjust our policies and procedures based on family suggestions and feedback.
