Budgewoi Halekulani Pre-School is a centre-based preschool/kindergarten - stand alone located in Budgewoi, New South Wales. The centre currently provides education and care for a maximum of 39 children at one time.

As of November 2018, Budgewoi Halekulani Pre-School meets or exceeds all quality areas set out in the Australian Government’s National Quality Standards. Our centre has achieved an overall rating of ‘Exceeding NQS’, meaning we provide exceedingly high standards of care and education for every child.

We are a not-for-profit, community preschool caring for children aged from three to six years. Our centre is located close to beautiful beaches and bushland, providing a relaxing, inspiring environment for children to begin their early learning journey.

Services

At Budgewoi Halekulani Pre-School, our educators provide only the highest quality early childhood education. We foster a welcoming, warm atmosphere where every child feels safe and accepted. Through our positive affirmation programs, we encourage children to be kind to themselves, inviting positive emotions and developing a strong sense of self.

At our centre, we participate in a range of regular community activities, including incursions and exciting holiday celebrations. We love watching the children buzz with excitement as they become active and involved members of their community.

Children learn by doing, and so we deeply incorporate real-life experiences into our curriculum. A recent example is our pulley project, where the children worked together to create a pulley system using string. Through communication, teamwork, and fun, the children developed an essential understanding of physics and basic machinery.

Grounds

Outdoor play is vital at Budgewoi Halekulani Pre-School. The leafy, beachy environment surrounding our centre is reflected in our yard area, which features a large playground, lush gardens, a mud kitchen, a sandpit, and wide-open playscapes.

Children in our care will learn how to interact with and care for animals, too, as they become acquainted with our on-site farm animals.

Communication

We recognise the immense importance of active and regular communication with families. Via our Facebook page or over email, we welcome parents and caregivers to ask questions, provide feedback, or request an update about their child’s daily activities and development.
