Services
At Daystars Killara, we provide age-appropriate care for every child by dividing our centre into three groups. These groups are:
● Six weeks to two years
● Two to three years
● Three to five years
We’re more than just your local childcare centre. We build strong, lasting relationships with families and our surrounding community, ensuring every child feels welcome and involved at our centre.
We’ve designed a space that feels like home—a space where children feel free to explore, grow, and express every aspect of their unique personalities. With a safe environment in which to grow and learn, children will develop:
● Confidence and independence
● Strong social ties
● Physical movement skills
● Literacy and numeracy skills
Based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), we inspire children to be, belong, and become. Through respectful interaction, enriching play, and positive encouragement, children will become involved and active members of their community and the wider world.
Nutrition
At Daystars, we focus on healthy food options, including any special dietary needs, intolerances, or allergies. We have carefully designed our menus to meet all nutritional requirements set out in the New South Wales Health Nutrition Checklist.
Over a six week cycle, children will enjoy new and familiar tastes in a comforting, social environment.
Grounds
Our grounds feature beautiful gardens and vast, exciting playscapes, encouraging children to develop fine and gross motor skills while getting to know their peers.
Communication
Regular communication with families is one of the most critical aspects of our philosophy. We understand parents and caregivers play a central role in their child’s lives, and we reflect this in our efforts to build firm, long-lasting, and collaborative relationships.
We invite families to contact us at any time with suggestions, feedback, or questions about their child’s education.
