Early learning years are important, and for many children this may be the first time away from family or friends. Our centre is light and spacious, a ’home like’ environment where children feel loved, accepted and secure as they transition into formal care. Our staff follow the Munch and Move Programme that encourages children to turn off the screen and get active. Nutritious meals are welcomed however please respect allergy concerns and refrain from packing any food that contain nuts. We urge children to engage with the world around them and enjoy new, healthy eating experiences.

Educators at The Tasman Park Children’s Centre believe school isn’t just about facts and figures, it’s also about learning self-respect, respect for others and forming a bond with the world in which we live. While we draw inspiration from a number of theorists and base our teaching model on these sources, our programme is shaped by The Early Years Learning Framework, a transitional approach that uses the very best teaching practices to recognise and support development of the individual. We encourage children to ask questions about the world and their place in it, while learning to relate happily and purposefully with others. 

We partner with families in a child’s education and we look forward to your involvement. We provide as many outlets as possible for communicating with parents including face to face, our ‘photo display of the day’ and regular informal meetings. Our caring staff work hard to create friendly, inspiring learning conditions that foster your child’s natural curiosity.
