The Kindiclub Preschool East Gosford provides centre based care for all children in the region from aged 2 to 5 years.  The centre is privately owned, and provides the very best care for children with an emphasis on local community.  The centre encourages consultation and collaboration with families, and aim to reflect the values of the local area.

Services

Children are free to choose the area of interest they wish to explore, and are provided with a variety of toys, equipment and activities to enjoy and learn from.  These include art, puzzles, blocks, dramatic play, a writing corner, books, sand, and gardening.  Projects are also a part of the children’s day to encourage investigative thinking and longer term goals. Incursions and excursions form part of the flexible programme.  

Grounds

Children enjoy spontaneous experiences, with an outdoor environment designed to enhance children’s physical development and contribute to other areas of learning. 

Educators also lead planned activities which are arranged for the outdoors area with a focus on balance and coordination, movement and ball skills.  Social skill and sensory awareness are also enhanced through being outdoors and the use of the extensive equipment.  Outdoor play includes climbing equipment, balance boards and beams, balls, hoops, trampoline and sand pit.

Nutrition Policy

The Healthy Eating Policy at Kindiclub emphasises fresh food as an essential element and forms part of the care and educational program.  Children are taught the value of healthy eating as a life long practice.  The menu is varied and multicultural and caters for all allergies or specific diets, providing a Doctor’s statement is provided.  Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea are served.

Communication

Family support is welcomed and valued.  Parents can make appointments at any time to discuss elements of their child’s progress, and understand that at Kindiclub families are a very important part of the preschool.  Parents are also encouraged to be involved by talking to their child about their day, reading their child’s communication book, all newsletters, and participating in fundraising and other family activities where possible.
