
Westlawn Preschool is located in Grafton, New South Wales. Ran by a team of five devoted educators, Westlawn is widely recognised for how it provides children with exciting and unforgettable educational opportunities each day in their early learning. This is done by providing a child-centred curriculum that is reflective of our children’s interests, cultures, abilities, and learning styles. 

Our Ethos

Our preschool team is very appreciative of the diversity within our world and this is embodied in our approach to education and the building of our community. We recognise the Bundjalung people, and pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging. We’re delighted Grafton is recognised as the Jacaranda tree capital of Australia, and the natural beauty of our surroundings. Furthermore, we know our city is a ‘melting point’ of people from many parts of Australia and the world. 

As a city situated on the Clarence River, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales located approximately 610 kilometres from Sydney, with the closest major cities being the Gold Coast and Brisbane in Queensland, there is a mindfulness many now live and work in our community who began life elsewhere, and accordingly we seek to create an inviting and encouraging space for all who attend our preschool.

Our Facilities

We believe the learning environment is a “Third Teacher” that can provide children enriching and intriguing experiences with every interaction. That’s why our spaces have been designed to encourage imagination and learning from one day to the next. 

Communications

We’re very proud to maintain an open-door policy at Westlawn Preschool. This means you and your family are always welcome to visit at any time while the centre is open. As you do so, you’re welcome to meet our staff, have a tour, and also field any questions you have.
