Play Learn and Grow Early Education Centre is an early learning centre located in Mayfield, New South Wales. We provide high-quality, long daycare services for a maximum of 92 children at a time, aged from six weeks to five years.
As of July 2017, our centre achieved an overall rating of ‘Exceeds NQS’ in the Australian Government’s National Quality Services rankings. This rating means we have exceeded the government’s expectations for early childhood education and care.
At Play Learn and Grow, our name reflects our values. We emphasise play-based learning, where all children can explore their innate curiosities and become active, involved participants in the world around them.
Services
Children have a natural desire to investigate, test their limits, and interact with their inner and outer worlds. As educators, our role is to encourage this natural desire while safely and respectfully guiding each child’s journey.
Our centre features several learning environments designed to meet the unique needs of each age group:
● Caterpillar Room (six weeks to 15 months)
● Butterfly Room (one to two years)
● Tadpole Room (two years)
● Frog Room (two to three years)
● Bumblebee Room (three to four years)
● Preschool Room (four to five years)
In each room, children will experience age-appropriate care and education tailored to their developmental needs. Recognising and building upon each child’s unique interests, we create stimulating environments in which children will challenge themselves, play, and learn.
Nutrition
Healthy eating inspires positive development and general wellbeing. We offer healthy, nutritious, and varied food choices for every child in our care, including:
● Morning Tea
● Lunch
● Afternoon Tea
● Late Afternoon Tea
● Pureed fruit and vegetables for babies
We follow a daily routine for mealtimes, although we will follow parents’ routines for feeding babies.
To keep children with allergies safe, we are a nut-free centre.
Grounds
Our grounds feature a lush, beautiful yard and unstructured spaces for children to enjoy.
Communication
We believe building strong relationships with families is developmentally vital—that’s why we welcome all feedback and advice. By forming lasting partnerships with parents and caregivers, we hope to give children the best opportunity not just to grow, but to thrive.
