Our Ibis and Egret classrooms are for children aged 15-24 months and ensures play is central to learning, with plenty of fun and exploration along the way. Nutrition Policy At Little Flyers Darwin, we know that good nutrition is essential to your child’s health and growth. The menus have been designed by award-winning Chef Torben Bilney in conjunction with Nutrition Australia. They change weekly and offer children a variety of healthy snacks and fresh produce. We are able to cater to any allergy requirements, as well as cultural or religious requirements for food. The centre provides children with breakfast each morning at 8.30am, including cereal and fresh fruit; followed by morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late afternoon snack if required. We can also offer recipes to take home. Grounds Our centre is strong on helping children develop curiosity and a sense of adventure. We provide a daily program that includes both indoor and outdoor play, and our grounds include an aeronautical themed playground, complete with aircraft control tower to direct traffic. The playground even includes a real airplane to inspire children’s interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). We also have a water park area for wet play, which is ideal in Darwin’s hot weather. Our outdoor area includes gardens, which we encourage the children to tend to with us. We also eat what we harvest! Communication At Little Flyers Darwin, we encourage open communication between the centre and parents and guardians. You can contact us directly through our website, email or our Facebook page if you have any questions or concerns.
